Editorial standards and calculation methods

CalcTrustHub publishes educational calculators and explanatory guides. We aim to make assumptions visible so readers can check estimates instead of treating a number as a promise.

How to interpret a calculator result

Results are estimates based on the values you enter. Financial calculations may assume a fixed interest rate, regular payment dates, no missed payments and no additional fees unless a tool explicitly states otherwise. Actual lender disclosures, tax rules and payment schedules take precedence.

How we review calculations

We compare formula implementations against independently calculated examples, test zero-rate and boundary cases where applicable, and check whether outputs remain finite for valid inputs. Automated tests cover representative cases but do not guarantee every possible input or jurisdiction. If an error is found, we aim to correct the calculation and clarify the affected assumptions.

How guides are prepared

Guides distinguish mathematical examples from product advice, identify assumptions, and link to primary educational resources when helpful. Examples use hypothetical figures, not quotes or promises of rates. Financial rules vary by country and can change; readers should check the terms that apply to them.

What the tools do not cover

Loan estimates may exclude origination charges, insurance, taxes, variable-rate adjustments and local regulations. Health-related tools such as BMI and calorie estimates are screening or educational aids, not diagnoses or individualized care plans. None of the content replaces advice from a qualified professional.
